
BCL is a relatively young company which specialises in the field of Internet and Intranet solutions.
The company has been established with a set of ideals that set it apart from the rest.
First and foremost is the belief that in order to obtain excellence in the field of software development, a solid understanding of the underlying architecture is a pre-requisite. After all it doesn't matter how good your planning, or management are if at the end of the day your technicians can't deliver the goods; without a thorough understanding of the environment this is likely to be the case.
Now, that statement can be made by most companies, but the key is how we can achieve it whereas other can't. The field of Online Communications has, through the rise in popularity of the Internet, become a key skill area over the past few years. However, before that very few people worked in this particular field, so the overall level of experience of most people working in the Internet is perhaps no more than two or three years. However, at BCL we have managed to employ some of that small group who pre-date the meteoric rise of the Internet by many years. This includes developers with accolades such as producing the world's first electronic directory system and the world's first multi-airline reservation system.
Secondly, we believe that honesty and integrity are essential
if we are to obtain and retain customers. Like any rapidly expanding market
sector, the Internet is plagued by slip shod organisations who will sell
you anything and everything. We have come across a number of companies
that have invested large sums of money developing Internet systems that
can only adversely effect the bottom line.
Our policy is simple, whilst
many business can gain an advantage from an Internet presence some can't,
and we'll tell you, even if it means that we don't gain a sale.
Many companies state that there aim is to delight customers. We hope that when we have completed a project for our customers that regret is the overriding emotion......Regret that they hadn't used us sooner.
